This was a truly precious moment...Mason is such a character :) Here's another moment caught on film by Papa: Brace yourself, I have a little confession....
I was cleaning our closet and discovered something that was lost, but now found.....CANDY! Candy is one of my weaknesses, so I was excited about enjoying this little unexpected treat. As I tore into the wrapper of the candy, I suddenly remembered....this candy didn't belong to me. It was set aside by one of the children and I was just about to sin by stealing what didn't belong to me. Now, technically it could be argued that what belongs to my children also belongs to me as long as they are under our roof. However, I was about to partake in taking something that someone else set aside (even if they misplaced it), without permission. This liitle experience got me thinking about how many allowances I've made in order to justfiy sin. And although this example may seem simple, I was still about to break the instructions of the Most High which is indeed sinful and wicked. May we all remain humble and pray for a pure heart & clean hands. Okay, here's another wake up call. One of our business accounts was just hit with two ATM charges in Milano (?). The last time I checked, I haven't been to Italy in the past, hmmmmm....NEVER. So why was our atm card hit with an international charge when I haven't even been outside of the US in 17 years?
LESSON LEARNED: Be aware, bank fraud is more common than you think. Think wisely and prepare now :) Yesterday, I was washing about 8 dozen eggs from the farm and it was so therapeutic. It really helped nurture a heart of gratitude and enjoy the simplicities in life.
Consider pondering the somewhat mundane things you can be grateful for and seek ways to show your appreciation. It is so rewarding to see the finished project: Although raising children requires a lot of commitment and discipline, parenting is truly a blessing!
Please make the effort to spend a little extra time with your children to tell them how much you appreciate them and to speak blessings over them. |
This nook is a bit of reflection and inspiration from me, a Joyful Mommy of 10 with hopes of encouraging others along their journey :)A Few Family Pics: Categories
